The AROUND THE WORLD RIG, the latest development in camera support technology is now available for rent to the motion picture and television industry through Engine Room.

Operated by a single technician, the AWR is the first standardized Radial Arm Camera Crane of its kind.  Its simple swing-arm design can be used to create perfectly circular vertical camera moves, around or over any subject.  Fixed or Remote Head operable, the AWR will accept a full complement of camera mounting possibilities.   It will carry any sized motion picture or video camera, from 65mm to Mini-DV.  Its adjustable telescoping arm allows for smooth dynamic arcs from 16 to 32 feet in diameter.  Through additional custom rigging, greater or smaller arc can also be achieved.

With thousands of possibilities for using the new AROUND THE WORLD RIG, Engine Room also offers our clients the ability to pre-visualize their shot designs in 3D CGI, creating a powerful tool for quick video testing.  This advanced service helps to answer many technical and creative questions associated with using the rig, long before the actual shoot day.  

The AWR packs easily into two large rolling cases and is ready to travel to any location.   A standard forklift is recommended to support the crane, offering the simplest possible pivot adjustment and camera placement.
